About
Vectorpin started as a shared notes file between three friends who kept texting each other odd little games they'd found late at night. At some point the list got too long to keep private, so we turned it into a site. Nothing fancy — just people who actually play the things they write about.
We focus on indie and small-studio mobile games because that's where the surprises live. A weird control scheme, a story that lands harder than expected, a racing game built by two people in a garage — those are the ones we chase. Big franchises get covered everywhere else, so we mostly leave them alone.
Every game on the site gets played, not skimmed. We put in enough hours to know whether the second act holds up, whether the difficulty spikes for cheap reasons, and whether we'd still open it a week later. If a game bores us, we say so.
There's no algorithm picking what we cover. A pick lands here because someone on the team liked it enough to write a few hundred words about it. That's the whole filter.
